About

Here we will talk about all things having to do with the automotive aftermarket industry. The business. The politics. The customer. Anything that involves the industry.

The American automotive aftermarket industry is a 200 billion dollar a year industry that employs over 3 million people in communities all around the country. It cuts across all segments of business including: manufacturers, distributors, rebuilders, jobbers, retailers, franchises and service / repair centers.

The industry provides quality parts at competitive prices for cars, light and heavy-duty trucks and vehicles, and just about anything else with wheels, an engine, or that moves.

The American aftermarket industry has been the envy of the world for decades. No matter where you may live, you have access to quality aftermarket parts and service. No-where else in the world does the consumer have this ability or option.

I had the honor, and pleasure, of working in the aftermarket industry for 21 years. I started my aftermarket career in a parts store helping customers. We did not even have computers to look-up the parts back then. We still used catalogs.

The last 17 years of my aftermarket career was spent defending the industry, and the consumer, against those that would like to see the industry cease to exist. We fought them in the State Capitols and in Washington. Believe me, we always had plenty to do.

Despite the importance of the aftermarket industry to the economy and the consumer, there are those that would like to see it “go away”.

It was not the extreme environmentalists, or other radical groups that we fought against the most. They were not our greatest threat. It was the American car companies that we always had to fight back against. They were constantly trying to legislatively create a monopoly for themselves.

Now, even after having been out of the industry for two years, the car manufacturers continue their campaign to put the aftermarket out of business or, control it to their favor.

Remember, these are the folks that have no problem taking billions from the American taxpayer or, cramming a Junker-clunker welfare program for themselves down the consumers’ throat.

So, that is why I have created this site. To do what I can to continue the fight against the car companies campaign to vilify, control and even destroy the American aftermarket industry.

Agree with me. Debate me. Join with me. Or fight against me. Just come here often.

LETS ROLL!
